Ellerbe, NC. Mr. Scott Richard Kuhnen, 46, completed his earthly journey on October 29, 2020 in NJ. He was born in Newton and grew up in Mt. Olive Township. As a child he worked on the Lines family farm in Roxbury Township. In 1994, he enlisted in the U S Navy, serving his country for 10 years, including serving during the Gulf War. While in the Navy, Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Upon his military separation in 2004, Scott moved to NC and began his 15-year career with Progress Energy. In 2019, Scott began his employment with PSEG in Linden, NJ.
Left to continue life’s journey without their loved one are Scott’s wife Amy-Jo (Wilson) Kuhnen of 9 wonderful, love filled years of Ellerbe, NC; by his 3 children that he loved more than words could ever express, Scott A. Kuhnen of Elizabeth City, NC, Gunner S. Hvam and Brianna M. Williams, also of Ellerbe, NC., the first woman he ever loved- his mother Marjorie Lines of Succasunna, NJ, 2 sisters who he loved to pick on and torment- Julie Isbell, her husband Brandon, and his 2 adorable nephews John and Eddie, of Fuquay-Varina, NC; and Brittany Lines and her husband MoeElkhoulyof Raleigh, NC., his beloved pack of German Shepherds, his cats, and Papaya, his Moluccan Cockatoo.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com), on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held at 7 pm.
