Salvatore A DelPreore

Roxbury Township,   Mr. Salvatore A DelPreore, 76, died on August 7, 2020 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover. He was born and raised in East Orange before moving to Succasunna 46 years ago. He was a 1967 graduate of Youngstown State University (summa cum laude).  He was a well known entrepreneur throughout his life.  He made his mark with the McDonalds Corporation in the 1970s as a tri-state area licensing director.

Sal was a beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend willing to help anyone in a moments notice.  He was a fixture in the Roxbury Twp athletic programs as a coach and “enthusiastic” fan of all sports. You could always catch Sal in his lawn chair along the sidelines.  He cherished the many friends he made in his neighborhood.  The neighborhood dogs could count on him for a treat anytime of the day.

He is survived by his wife Brenda J (Johnson) DelPreore of 48 years, his sons Christopher (and Jennie) DelPreore of Independence Township, and Matthew (and Stacey) DelPreore of Ramsey. He also leaves his 5 grandchildren Joey, Jack, Lily, Luke and Adam, his grand dog Duke, his sister Kathleen Milinkovich (DelPreore) and her late husband Tom of Fairfield, his niece Lauren (and Anthony) Iavarone and their daughter Artie, his nieces Stephanie DelPreore, Krista Milinkovich, and nephew Thomas Milinkovich, and his sister-in-law Stephanie Bruno (DelPreore) and husband Anthony. He was predeceased by his parents Nunzio and Florence DelPreore and his beloved brother Arthur L DelPreore.

He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-laws Dorothy (and Randy) Hotz, Lois Goldstein, Randy (and Angela) Johnson, and nieces/nephews Kimberly (and Alan) Klein, Evan Hotz, Jason (and Ria) Dilatush, and Leighann (and Curtis) Barron and all their children.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 10 am, at the Garden Mausoleum, at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave East Hanover, NJ.  Fr. Mark Olenowski will be the celebrant.  The Family will then hold a repast at their home (on Saturay) at 12 noon, at 14 Kentwood Road, Succasunna, NJ
