Richard R Flint

Dingmans Ferry, PA, Mr. Richard R Flint, 69, died on October 2, 2021 at the Newton Medical Center. He was born in Troy, NY and moved to Roxbury Township in 1969. He was a 1970 graduate of Roxbury High School and later earned his Business Degree from C.C.M. Rich began his career with Bell Atlantic in 1970 as a telephone installer and retired as an engineer for Verizon after 45 years of service.

For many years, he was an active member of the Succasunna United Methodist Church where he sang in their choir, served on the Cemetery Board, and participated in many other church activities.Rich was an Eagle Scout and was an active leader of Pack and Troop 159 while his sons were in scouting. He was also a former member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and currently the Flintlocks at the Winnebago Scout Reservation. Rich also had a life-long love of singing barber shop, riding motorcycles and making people laugh with his quick wit and a smirk.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann (Miller) Flint of 48 years, and his sons; Jason Richard Flint and Adam R Flint. He also leaves his 5 grandchildren; Emily, Christopher, Jordan, Lucas, and Wyatt, his sisters; Nancy Ribe and Debra Flint, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Thursday, October 7th, from 3 – 7 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 8th, at the Funeral Home, at 10 am, followed by the interment at the Succasunna Methodist Cemetery.
