Richard H Frantz

Roxbury Township, Mr. Richard Henry Frantz, 88, died on November 12, 2021, at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was born and raised in Fullerton, PA, and lived in Roxbury Township all of his adult life. He served in ht e U S Army during the Korean War. He earned his Master’s Degree from East Stroudsburg University in PA, in History and Education. He then taught 8th-grade history at the Eisenhower School in Succasunna for 35years. He was a history expert, loved the German language, collected all kinds of memorabilia. He loved to travel and did visit all 50 states. He also enjoyed stonework and gardening. But most of all he loved his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his wife Alice (Read) Frantz in 2004, and is survived by his daughters; Linda E.(and Andre) Verge of PA, and Nancy L.(and Frank) Shay of Stanhope. He also leaves his 4 grandchildren; Elizabeth Rose and Cassandra Marie Verge and Ryan Carland Sara Alaina Frantz Rappoport, sister Barbara Wright of PA, and half-sister Billie Jean Graves of CA as well as nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives may visit the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Monday (November 15th) from 6 – 8pm.The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 1 pm at the Funeral Home, followed by the interment at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org)
