Parsippany, Mr. Peter J. Maniscalco, 91, died on March 10, 2012 at the Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Township. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where he lived before moving to Parsippany 44 years ago. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII, building bridges in Alaska and serving in Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland. He worked in the building and grounds department for the Whippany Park Board of Education. He was a member of the Parsippany VFW Lodge #10184, and loved wood working and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Constance (Neglia) of 65 years, son Peter Jr. (and Carla) Maniscalco of Succasunna, 4 grandchildren; Christina (and Jeremy) Weiner of Livingston, Amy (and Cody) Hybarger of Reno, NV, Peter Maniscalco of Las Vegas, NV, and Steven Maniscalco of Succasunna, and 4 great-grandchildren; Anna, Avery , Oliver and Hayden .

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com on Friday from 5-8 pm. The Interment Service will be held on Saturday, 10am, at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, East Hanover.
