Roxbury Township,   Mr. Odd Ribe, 89, died on September 9, 2018, at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Fevik, Norway and came to the United States in the mid 50’s to Succasunna. He was a member of the Dock Builders Union in New York City for many years before his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Hillside Lutheran Brethren Church in Succasunna and the Ever-Young Senior Citizens Club. As a young man, he traveled the world with the Norwegian Merchant Marines. 

 He is survived by his wife Gudrun Ribe, of 62 years, 3 sons: Floyd (and Nancy) Ribe of Succasunna, Gary (and Jan) Ribe of Succasunna and Kenneth (and Kathy) Ribe of Landing, daughter in law Joanne Ribe of Hamburg, 11 grandchildren: Kelly, Roy, Gary, Christopher, Steven, Rebecca, Katie, Lindsay, Kristin, Ashleigh, and Kyra, and 3 great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Graham and Madeline, and 2 brothers and a sister in Norway: Arne Johan Ribe, Tore Ribe, Åse Marie Sveinungsen. He was preceded by his son Roy, in 1999.

 Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ  973-584-7264  (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday, from 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 10 am, at the Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
