Bernards Township, Mrs. Mary J Ryerson, 85, died on April 21, 2011 at the Pine Acres Nursing Home in Madison, NJ. She was born in Jersey City and raised her family in Succasunna for 32 years. She then lived in Toms River, Hackettstown, and Warren, NJ, before moving to Basking Ridge 3 years ago. She was a homemaker and an office assistant at Country Aluminum Products in Bernardsville, owned by her husband. She sang in the Sweet Adeline’s Chorus, Hickory Tree Chapter of Chatham for 35 years, and was a member of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna for 32 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert C Ryerson in 1999, and is survived by her 5 children; Nancy Czarecki of Basking Ridge, Patricia Conlon of Kenvil, Janet Ryerson of High Bridge, Karen Ryerson and Andrew Ryerson both of Hackettstown. She also leaves her 3 grandchildren; Blair, Justine, and Eric, and sister, Joann Dziegiel of Hackensack.

Friends may visit the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna, NJ (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Monday from 3 – 5 & 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna with the interment to follow at the Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
