Mary Catherine Madjor

       Ledgewood, NJ. Mary Catherine Madjor (nee McLean), 86, passed away on March 14, 2024 at the Mt. Arlington Senior Living Center. She was born in Guelph, Ontario, Canada and later moved with her family to Toronto where she graduated from St. Clements School. Following graduation, Mary was employed at the University of Toronto Library and Kimberly-Clark before marrying and moving to Queens, New York in 1962. She then moved with her family to the Succasunna/Ledgewood area in 1973. Mary worked as a teaching assistant at Franklin Elementary School and in administrative positions at numerous companies, including AT&T. Mary was an active member of  the Roxbury Garden Club and St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church and was an avid supporter of animal and nature related causes.

       Mary will be fondly remembered for her generosity, compassion and wit. She always thought of others and faced any life challenges with courage, determination and grace. Mary will be dearly missed.

       She is survived by her 2 sons, Anthony (and Denise) Madjor of Yardville, NJ and Christian Madjor (and Angela) of Randolph; 3 grandchildren, Cecilia, Magdalena, and Luka; her former husband, Steve Madjor of Hamilton, NJ; her niece and nephews, Sandra Hellewell, Peter and Steven McLean, plus her sister-in-law, Marilyn McLean all of Guelph, Ontario. She was predeceased by her brother Malcolm McLean and was the daughter of Mary and George McLean.

       An informal celebration of Mary’s life will be held at the Madjor household (6 Waterview Lane, Randolph, NJ) on Saturday March 23rd from 1-4PM. All who wish to come and celebrate Mary’s life are welcome. The burial will be held at a later date in Canada. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please provide donations to St. Hubert’s Animal Shelter in Madison, NJ.
