Roxbury Township, Mrs Joyce N Cormey, 80, died on June 6, 2018 after a long illness. She was born in Worcester, MA to Harold & Pauline Nussey and grew up in Spencer, MA. Joyce married Wendell T. Cormey June 10, 1957 and lived in East Orange NJ before moving to Succasunna 46 years ago. After spending time raising her children and volunteering for many years, she worked for the Roxbury School district for 34 years as a guidance secretary and then the secretary to the Principal at the Eisenhower Middle School. She was a woman of faith who loved her family deeply and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren whether at home or wherever they could be together.

 She was predeceased by her husband Wendell T.  Cormey (of 37 years) in 1994. She is survived by her daughter Patricia C (and Jeffrey) Siegel of Succasunna and son Douglas W. Cormey of Hoboken; her 5 grandchildren Megan S. (and James) Backing of Newton, Mark J. Siegel of Nashville, Tn, James D. Cormey of Trinity, Fl, Jenna M. Cormey of New York, NY, John W. Cormey of Sussex; and 2 great grandchildren, Jaxon J. Cormey and Maeve Joyce Backing who was named in honor of her great grandmother.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 10 am, at the Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
