Easton, PA.   Mrs. Joyce A Kaar, 82, died on June 27, 2023 at the Northampton Post Acute Center in Easton, PA. She was born in Dover, NJ and grew up in Flanders, NJ. She then lived in Portland, PA before moving to Easton last year.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Thomas, Sr, in July 1992, her daughter Joanne in 1962, her son Joseph in May 2009, and grandson, Scott in June 2016. She is survived by her 4 children Dianna (& Alfred) VanDusen, Sandy (& Dean) Johansen, Pamilla (& Lloyd) Vanderpool, Ruthie (& Dan) Lerch, Daughter in Law Nancy Kaar, and Grandchildren: Kristin Lynn (& Chris) Monaghan, John (& Lauren) Johansen, Jessica (& Corey) VanDusen, Robyn (& Chris) Brown, Robert Kaar, Ashley (& Pedro) Barreto, Melissa (& David) Dalrymple, Laura VanDusen, Joseph (& Ryan) Vanderpool, Jeffrey (& Zach) Vanderpool and 13 great grandchildren.

She loved camping at Camp Charles, days at Lake Wallenpaupack, family barbeques, crafting, and the seashore.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ (973)-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Thursday from 9 – 11 am. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 am, at the Funeral Home, the interment will follow at the Flanders – Hillside Cemetery in Succasunna.
