Roxbury Township, Mr. Joseph A. Kovalcik, Sr., 81, died on November 21, 2015 at his home in Kenvil. He was born and raised in Montville and later served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He then lived in Boonton before moving to Kenvil 50 years ago. He was an avid Yankees fan. He was a retired Blue Seal Engineer from Norda – Unilever in East Hanover for 33 years.

 He was predeceased by his wife Anna (Catapano) Kovalcik in 2003 and is survived by his 3 children; Joseph A. Kovalcik, Jr. (and his fiancee Katelin Lorito), Maryanne (and Peter) Barlak of PA, and John Kovalcik of Louisiana, 3 grandchildren; Allison (and Michael) Shupp, Meredith Barlak, and Jacob Schuchman, and a great granddaughter Katherine Shupp.
