Roxbury Township, Mr. John A Chastek, 68, of Succasunna, son of the late Fred and Anna Chastek, passed away suddenly at home on June 25, 2020. John graduated from Wallington High School in 1971, after which he worked as a carpenter for Jerico Homes. He eventually opened up his own construction company with his late brother Frederick, which they had for many years. After John left the construction field, he worked for the East Hanover Board of Education. He built two of his own homes in New Jersey and one in Florida. When he moved to Florida, he worked for the Holy Cross Hospital. Then later for the Broward County Board of Education. After relocating back to NJ in 2008, he lived with his daughter Nicole and her family in Succasunna, NJ and again worked for the East Hanover Board of Education, from which he retired in 2017. John Loved his family and loved to joke. We will miss his loving smile and his quick-witted sense of humor.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter Nicole and his 3 grandchildren; Landon, Olivia, and Leonardo, his sister MaryAnn (and John) Galiger, his former wife Susan Chastek (Reimels) and his nieces and nephews.
