Roxbury Township, Mrs. Florence R Shires, 93, died on December 18, 2017 at the Morristown Medical Center. She was born in Newark and grew up in Belleville before moving to Roxbury Township 60 years ago. She was a homemaker and attended St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna. She also loved animals and was a doll collector.

She was predeceased by her husband James Shires in 1987, and is survived by her 2 children; Shirley A Rosamilia and James N Shires, Jr, and her grandson Anthony Rosamilia, Jr, all of Flanders, and by her sister Susan Hodgdon of Mt. Laurel, NJ.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264    (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday from 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, 9 am at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
