Stanhope, NJ.   Mr. Brian J O’Gorman, 64, died on March 25, 2024 at the Hackettstown Hospital. Brian was born in Newark, was a longtime resident of Verona , graduated from Verona High School in 1978. More recently he lived in Lake Hopatcong where he could do what he loved most, boating and fishing out on the lake! An avid fisherman, Brian was a member of the Knee Deep Club in Hopatcong; an environmental group supporting the preservation of Lake Hopatcong.

Brian worked in the flooring business for years and was owner of Quality Carpet Cleaning & Flooring. However, Brian’s passion was life, in addition to fishing, he loved snowmobiling, music, and spending time with friends. Forever the care-free guy, forever smiling, Brian loved growing up on Franklin St. and was an avid supporter of the Franklin St. “block parties” through the years. He also loved his Irish heritage and celebrating St. Patrick’s day.

Friends may visit at Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com), on Friday, March 29h, from  4 – 8 pm. The internment will be at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover at a later date.
