Anne M Talmage

Anne Margaret Talmage (formerly Anne T. Freund), 77, passed away February 9, 2019 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. She resided the past few years at Morningside House of Laurel in Laurel, MD.

Anne was born August 26,1941, in Dover ,NJ and lived most of her life in Succasunna, NJ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. William G. Talmage and Reverend Anne (Nancy) Trott Talmage.

Anne graduated from Kent Place School in Summit, NJ and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Keane College in Union, NJ. She was a founding member of The Nursery School at St. Dunstan’s in Succasunna and taught at several pre-schools.

Anne was an accomplished artist and musician.  She had a passion for singing and dancing and shared her love of music with friends and family.  She was a member of the Art Association in Roxbury, where she won awards for her paintings. She enjoyed many genres of music but especially Folk and Bluegrass and belonged to various music organizations and choirs over the years.

Anne was a proud grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her two grandsons, as well as her niece and other family members.

Anne is survived by her daughters: Victoria A. Freund and life-partner  William L. Edens of Rogersville, TN, and Maria J. Sudol and husband George of Kenvil, NJ. Grandsons: Nicholas G. Sudol and girlfriend Rachael Incorvaia, and Theodore V. Sudol. Sister: Garland Riggs and husband Anthony of Lanham, MD. Niece: Elizabeth Weatherby and husband Theodore.

Friends and family may visit February 16, 2019 from 12 pm to 2 pm at Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna, NJ, with a Memorial service beginning at 1:30 pm. Interment will take place immediately after at the Cemetery of The First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
