Anna Searles

New Port Richey, FL  Mrs. Anna Searles, 99, died on October 16, 2013 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. She was born on May 16, 1914 in Brooklyn, NY and lived in Pompton Lakes for 60 years, then moving to New Port Richey, FL 30 years ago. She was previously an active member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church and Rosary Society in New Port Richey, FL. Locally she attended the Shrine of St. Joseph in Stirling, NJ where her brother-in-law Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Searles served for many years, and also a member of St. Mary’s R C Church in Pompton Lakes. She also loved word games, bingo, cooking, and crafting.

She was predeceased by her husband James Searles in 2008 and is survived by her brother-in-law Rev Fr Thaddeus Searles of the Missionary Saints of the Holy Trinity in Mississippi, several nieces and nephews including; Ernie (and Linda) Villa of Succasunna, Richard (and Jacque) Villa of San Diego, CA, Carolyn (and Richard) Derricks of Hope, NJ and Dan (and Lucy) Searles of Puerto Rico, and several great nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday from 2 – 5  pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, 10 am, at St Elizabeth Ann Seton R C Church, Main Street, Flanders, with the internment to follow at the ­­­­Mt.
