Roxbury Township, Mr. Stephen J Ditta, 92, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2017 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. He was born in New York City and lived in Flushing, Queens, NY before moving to Succasunna a year and a half ago. Stephen graduated electrical school in 1941. He served in the U S Army Air Corps as an electrician during WW II where he developed a love of air flight. He was employed as hobbyist at the American Hobby Shop in New York City for over 30 years. He also attended St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna.

Stephen is survived by his son Anthony Ditta (and wife Donna) of Brick, 2 brothers; Leiborio Ditta of Succasunna,  and Joseph Ditta of Brooklyn,  great niece Hope Gonzales of Succasunna, and several grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Anne  Wagner-Ditta in 1999,  daughters Antoinette Ditta and Donna Schallaci, and sister Lena Sardina.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday from 12 – 2 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church, with the interment to follow at the Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
