Rosemary Stevens

Palisades Park, NJ   Rosemary C Stevens, 89, died on January 27, 2018 at the Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. She was born in Englewood and was a life long resident of Palisades Park, NJ. She was a 1948 graduate of Leonia High School, who then earned her MS from the Douglas College (part of Rutgers University) in bacteriology, and became a research bio-scientist for the Pfizer Company in New Jersey, and later for Sloan-Kettering in New York City as a bacteriologist. She later worked as a research librarian for the Met-Life Insurance Company in New York City, until her retirement in 1990. She then became a volunteer at the Englewood Hospital library.

She was the daughter of the late George V and Anna Stevens and was also predeceased by her twin sister Florence in 1928. She is survived by her sister Marilyn A Hepplewhite of Millington, NJ. She also leaves her niece and nephews; Nancy Harris of Millington, William Hepplewhite of Succasunna, and Robert Hepplewhite of San Francisco, and 5 great nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday (February 2nd) from 3 – 5 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, (February 3rd) 11 am, at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
