Roxbury Township,   Mr. Roger Anderson Mills, 87, died on May 21, 2012 at the Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Township. He was born and raised in Danville, VA and lived in Netcong before moving to Succasunna 60 years ago. He served in the U S Marine Corps during WW II and was a school custodian at the Kennedy School in Roxbury Township until his retirement. He was a member of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, the Kenvil VFW Post, the Roxbury Township Senior Citizens Club, and was for many years a volunteer at Dover General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Marion (Ferrara) of 67 years, daughter Doris Berry of Succasunna, son Martin (and Kathy) Mills of East Grand Forks, MN, 3 grandchildren; Robert Mills, Michelle Amaducci, and Stacey Clow, 3 great grandchildren; Meadow Mills, Aivlyn Clow, and Evan Clow, and was expecting another great granddaughter.

Friends may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264)  davishepplewhitefh.com on Friday from 3 – 5 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, with the interment to follow at the Stanhope Union Cemetery. Donations may be made in his name to the Roxbury Township Rescue Squad or to the Kenvil V F W Post.
