Randolph Twp, Mr. Robert “Bob” William Carter, 61, died on August 5, 2014 at St Clare’s Hospital in Denville. He was born in Newark and lived in West Orange before moving to Randolph 37 years ago. He was a master carpenter for 40 years and owned Rocky Pines Construction in Randolph. From 1980-1993 he worked for Center Grove Contracting. He worked on many homes and businesses in Northern NJ, Randolph (including Resurrection Parish), and in Maine. He loved all animals and was very close to his dogs, delivered many puppies, and rescued many needy dogs. He will be remembered for his kindness and huge heart. He also loved boating (with his dogs) in Maine and riding his motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (Kovack) of 42 years, daughter Zorina (and Jeff) Munson of Mine Hill, grandchildren; Veronica Carter of Randolph and Rhett Munson of Mine Hill, his mother Joanne Rodriguez of West Orange and father Robert Carter of South Jersey. He also leaves his sister Madeline Snyder, brothers; Marco and Frank Nappi and Gilbert Rodriguez and several half sisters and brother.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday from 2 – 5 pm, with the Service at 4 pm. Donations may be made in his name to the ASPCA or your local animal shelter.
