Roxbury Township, Mr. Robert M Dema, 74, died on July 10, 2021, at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Long Island City, Queens, New York and grew up in Astoria, New York. He lived in Jackson Heights, New York, before moving to Landing, New Jersey, 27 years ago. A life-long public servant and people-person, he was a postal carrier in Stanhope, New Jersey, and a member of the Our Lady of the Lake, R.C. Church.
He is survived by his wife Kvetuse Dema of 42 years, and by his daughters; Bohdanka E Demova, and Monica Dema, both of Jackson Heights, NY. He also leaves his grandson Liam Demova, and sister Madeline Chatlos of Wappingers Falls, New York, along with many other beloved family members and friends. He was the son of the late Jack and Elizabeth Dema.
Robert enjoyed celebrating life with an abundance of laughter and had no shortage of friends and family to lean on and spend time with. He was a moral compass with endless wisdom to share with everyone he mentored. He loved the Yankees, fishing, spending time in Atlantic City, and living a spiritual life through fellowship. He enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends and loved his coffee while reading the newspaper and the funnies on his deck.
He will be most missed for his wisdom, humor, sense of fashion, and his willingness to be there for his family and friends in all capacities.
