Richard P. Kilcomons (May 30 1932- Dec 16 2021)

Richard P. Kilcomons of Sayreville New Jersey passed away on Dec 16^th 2021 after a long battle against cancer. Rich was predeceased by his loving wife of 65 years, Anne Klimkiewicz Kilcomons, and survived by his son Reverend Richard D. Kilcomons Pastor of St. Therese Parish in Succasunna, NJ. Rich is also predeceased by his parents William (Bill) Kilcomons and Mary (Mae) Kilcomons, and brothers Norman, William (Roy), and Warren, sisters Barbara Kilcomons Turner and Sr. Mary Theresa.  He is also survived by his brothers Joseph, Daniel, John, and Edward. Rich was a lifelong resident of the Sayreville/South Amboy area. He served in the United States Army in Korea from 1953 – 1954 as a First Sergeant (Infantry), and briefly as a Battalion Sergeant Major before returning home. Rich was awarded several citations including the Korean Service Medal w/bronze star, UN service medal, National Defense service medal., Presidential Unit citation (ROK) and the Commendation Ribbon w/medal pendant (12 July 53). He was employed by Verizon as the Director of Cellular Communications until his retirement in 1989, then became a consultant in the communications Industry. Rich’s priorities were: “family first, work hard, cherish your friends, and lead a good life.”

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Therese Church in Succasunna 145 Main Street Succasunna on Monday Dec 20 at 10am, followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sayreville. The viewing will be on Sunday Dec 19^th from 4pm to 8pm at Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home 96 Main Street Succasunna, N.J. 07876. In lieu of flowers, donations to St, Therese Church in Succasunna will be appreciated.
