Roxbury Township, Mr. Richard F Roth, 89, died on February 4, 2023 peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born in Passaic where he first grew up and later moved to Clifton before moving to Succasunna 27 years ago. He earned his Business degree and Law degree from Rutgers University.. He practiced law for 40 years in Clifton NJ before retiring in 1997. He was President of Passaic County Bar Association and President of Clifton Kiwanis Club. Mr. Roth served as Clifton’s Acting Municipal Court Judge from 1972 to 1975. He was also a councilman and past treasurer of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Clifton.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Roth served in the Counterintelligence Corps Group in Stuggart, Germany as an interpreter and military intelligence analyst.

He is survived by his beloved wife Catherine Roth, of 63 years, and his children: Karen (and Daniel) Raymond of Succasunna, and Richard G (and Krystyna) Roth of Florham Park. He also leaves his 6 granddaugther’s and 3 Great Grandchildren: Erika Garrabrant and her husband John of Mt. Arlington NJ, Jessica Banas and her husband Rob of Succasunna NJ, Amanda Sanders and her husband Jim of Mt Arlington, Stephanie Roth, Alison Roth of Florham Park, NJ and Kristi Raymond of Randolph NJ. Great Grandchildren Jack Garrabrant, Mia Sanders, Cameron Banas.

He is also survived by sister in law Joan Jasionowski and her husband Joe of Oradell, NJ and brother in law George LaVine and his wife Fran of Florida.
