Chester Twp, NJ     Mr Peter Joseph Barbalaci, 95, died at his home in Chester on April 18, 2020 surrounded by family. He was born in Newark where he lived most of his life before moving to Chester 17 years ago.  He served in the U S Army Air Force during WW II as a Staff Sergeant with the 13^th Combat Cargo Squadron in the China-Burma-India campaign.  He then worked as a transformer repairman for the Westinghouse Company in Hillside for 40 years. He was a member of St. Antoninus Rosary Society.

He was predeceased by his wife Agnes in 2007, and is survived by his dear friend Jandira “Sam” Belenguer  of 26 years, his son Robert M. Barbalaci and his wife Angela of Stanhope, granddaughter Carla Barbalaci of Ledgewood, and his sister Catherine Iannuzzelli of Davenport, Iowa as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Antonetta nee Faiella and father Michael Barbalaci, and sister Marian Vachino.
