Paul Rashap

Paul Rashap, 79, of Randolph, New Jersey, passed away on January 29, 2021. He passed away due to medical reasons. His family was able to spend time with him in the hospital before he passed. Paul was born in 1941 and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science from Bridgeport University and a Masters of Science from the University of Southern California and went on to become a beloved and famous Math teacher in Randolph High School. He additionally gained experience teaching at the International School of Bangkok in Thailand and studied educational systems and techniques throughout Asia. He was also a math tutor outside of school hours and touched the lives of thousands of students. He taught at Randolph High School for over 35 years and still tutored until the last year of his life. He had a unique ability to make learning fun and to build confidence in all of his students.

He was a devoted husband to the mother of his children, Shirley, and his current spouse Patricia. He was an amazing father to his three children and an incredible grandfather to his two grandchildren. He had an infectious love for Broadway, which he introduced to and shared with countless friends. His beaming personality and selflessness will carry on in the hearts of all those he loved. Paul is survived by his wife Patricia and three sons. The family will hold a private service, streamed over Facebook Live, on February 4, 2021. A scholarship at Randolph High School will be established in his name.
