Mine Hill, NJ Miriam R Krueger, 86, died on July 30, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was born in Mt. Vernon, NY and grew up along the St. Lawrence River in Goose Bay, NY, with her sister, Margaret. After their mother, Anne Dolan was widowed they were raised by their maternal Aunt and Uncle along with their cousin, John.
Miriam joined her mother and sister, Margaret in NYC after graduating from high school. In 1957, while living in NYC she met her husband, Paul. They married and raised their family in Wharton until retiring to Cape Coral, FL in 1984. She resided at Mt. Arlington Senior Living for the past five years.
She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and lived and shared her faith and beliefs with others out of love for them and Jehovah.
Miriam was predeceased by her husband Paul Krueger III, of 53 years, in 2010, then her brother-in-law, William Leask of New York in 2014 and her cousin, John Coleman of New York in 2015. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Leask of New York, her three children; Eileen (and Gary) Rees of Mine Hill, Paul IV (and Jean) Krueger of Culpeper, VA, and Steve (and Candi) Krueger of Hopatcong, her five grandchildren; Paul Krueger V, Colin Krueger (and his fiancé Crystal Howard), and Keely Krueger of Culpeper, VA, Lacey Krueger of Milwaukee, WI, and Hailey Krueger of Hopatcong, along with eight nieces and two nephews and their families.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday, August 5, from 3 – 5 or 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 10 am at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
