Washington Township (Morris County), Mrs. Marlene (Tierney) Negri, 79, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Morristown Memorial Hospital from complications of Pulmonary Hypertension, following a long illness. Marlene was born on March 20, 1932 in Dover, NJ to John and Irene (McPeek) Tierney and has been a resident of Washington Township for 19 years. She previously resided in Randolph, Dover, and Succasunna. She was employed in the Banking industry for 23 years and retired as Vice President and Branch Manager from Nat West Bank in Succasunna and Landing. She was a member of St. Therese Parish in Succasunna, member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and The Contemporary Club in Dover. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, her brother John J. Tierney, and her nieces Diane (Tierney) Rolph, and Ellen (Tierney) Carriere.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, John L Negri, Sr, her children; John L Negri, Jr and his wife Marcy of Mountain Lakes, and Donna N Klein and her husband Dr Steven of Ledgewood, and by her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan and Danielle Klein. She is also survived by her siblings; Betty Melroy of Mount Olive, Doris Kimble of Wharton, and Herbert Tierney and his wife Rita of Hackettstown, and by her 34 nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday at 9:30 am at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna with the interment to follow at the Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
