Roxbury Township, Mrs. Marion Mills, died on June 13, 2018, 3 days after her 93rdbirthday, at the Regency Grande Center in Dover. She was born in Netcong and moved to Succasunna 66 years ago. She worked at the Dover Handbag Company for many years, and was a parishioner of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Kenvil VFW Post. She was well known to her family and friends as the “cookie lady”.
She was predeceased by her husband Roger A Mills in 2012, and is survived by her son Martin (and Kathy) Mills of E Grand Forks, MN and daughter Doris Berry of Succasunna. She also leaves her 3 grandchildren; Robert Mills, Michelle Amaducci, and Stacey Clow, and 4 great grandchildren; Meadow Mills, Aivlyn Clow, and Evan Clow, and Isabella Amaducci. She also leaves her 2 brothers; Samuel Ferrara and Peter Ferrara, and 2 sisters; Anne Pryor and Rose Spuckes.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday June 15, from 4 – 8 pm, with a Ladies Auxiliary Service at 7 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 10 am, at the Funeral Home, with the interment to follow at the Stanhope Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the St. Therese Rectory Fund or to the Roxbury Township Rescue Squad.
