Roxbury Township,     Mrs. Madeline M (Castaldi) Pollison, 79, died on January 22, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends, following a long illness. She was born in Dover and lived in Succasunna for 54 years. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and Dover High School. She was a charter member and dedicated parishioner of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna and member of the church choir and bible study group. She also volunteered her time at Dover General Hospital and a local soup kitchen. She worked at Picatinny Arsenal until 1956 and later worked part time at Valley Pharmacy in Succasunna for 6 years.

Mrs. Pollison is survived by her husband Norman Pollison, of 55 years, 2 daughters; Sharon Hebner and her husband Andrew of Norton, MA, Linda Wisneiski and her husband James of Bushkill, PA. She also leaves her 2 sisters; Sara Mercure of Shelburne, VT and Marie Broadhurst of Ormond Beach, FL, 3 brothers; Victor of Owassa, OK, Louis of Netcong, and Valentino of Dover, 4 loving grandchildren; Michael, Douglas, Jennifer, and Sarah, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite, 96 Main St, Succasunna, NJ (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna with the interment to follow at the Stanhope Union Cemetery.
