Lynn D Ashley

Roxbury Township, Miss Lynn D Ashley, 56, lost her battle with cancer on October 28, 2015. Born in Denville, Lynn lived in Roxbury Township most of her life. She was a 1978 graduate of Roxbury High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Felician College in Lodi, after which she worked as a Computer Programing Analyst for Revlon, Bristol Meyers Squibb, and later UPS.

She was an active member of New Beginnings Bible Church in Flanders, and had many interests, including knitting, cooking, and spending time with her cats. She enjoyed travel, was an avid photographer, and loved learning new things, researching anything that caught her interest. Among her passions was a love for antique cars, and she was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, and heavily involved in the local Corvair club. She loved people, especially her family, and was an inspiration to all with her cheerful outlook and generous heart.

The daughter of the late Lawrence, Sr. and Lillian Ashley, Lynn is survived by her brother Lawrence Ashley, Jr. and her sister-in-law Donna M Ashley of Succasunna, her cousins Lawrence E. Ashley and his wife Ellen, Janis Gutermuth and her husband Stephan, Aimee Ashley Myers and husband Doug, Scott Ashley and wife Christine, in addition to numerous second cousins.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, (973-584-7264) (www.davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday, from 7 – 9 pm.  The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 10 am at New Beginnings Bible Church (www.NewBeginningsBC.org), 104 Bartley Flanders Road in Flanders, with the Internment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to New Beginnings Bible Church in Lynn’s memory.
