Roxbury Township, Mrs. Lenora M Scheneck, 86, died on May 6, 2016 at her home. She was born in Teaneck and moved to Succasunna in 1957. She was a homemaker, and member of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna. She was much loved by the friends of her children, many of whom thought of her as a mother. She enjoyed life and lived her life to the fullest. She believed there was nothing more important than family, and was devoted to her children and 2 grandsons. She was an avid Yankee fan, attending many games; she was always there for her family, she never missed any game in which her sons or grandsons played, or her son coached. She loved animals, and leaves behind her beloved Sphynx cat Ling, and regularly donated to animal groups, veterans groups, and religious charities. She was a true Jersey girl, loved her childhood in Jersey City, loved Roxbury where she lived since 1957, and would never live anywhere other than her beloved New Jersey.

She was predeceased by her husband Harold M Scheneck in 1986, and is survived by her 4 children; Joseph (and Dawn) Scheneck of Green Township, Matthew Scheneck (and Rebecca Pietras) of Montague, Carol Ann Scheneck of Ledgewood, and Suzanne (and Bill) Vogler of Ledgewood. She also leaves her 2 grandsons; Joseph and Matthew Vogler of Ledgewood, and brother Richard (and Jayne) Spidaliere of Melbourne, FL.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday from 3 – 5 & 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church, with the interment to follow at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
