Roxbury Township,    Mr. Joseph R Kunkel, 89, died on June 22, 2013 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. He was born in Irvington and lived in Morristown before moving to Kenvil 51 years ago. He served in the U S Army during WW II and is a member of the Kenvil V F W Post 2833 in Kenvil. He was a retired Sheet Metal Mechanic for the Commercial Industrial Refrigeration Company in Whippany for many years.

He was predeceased by his wife Miriam C Kunkel in 2002 and is survived by his 2 sons; Lance C (and Debbie) Kunkel of Collinsville, IL and Keith Kunkel at Home, 2 grandchildren; Shawn (and Rachael) Kunkel and Shannon, and great Granddaughter Emma R Kunkel, all of Collinsville, IL.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 7-9 pm at the Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, 2 pm at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna (973-584-7264) davishepplewhitefh.com.
