Joseph P Hanusocky, 79, died peacefully on February 9, 2017 at the Newton Medical Center surrounded by his four daughters. He was born in Yonkers and grew up in the Bronx, NY. He then raised his family in Mt. Arlington before moving to Manahawken 19 years ago. He served in the U S Army National Guard during the Viet Nam War and then worked as an engineer for the Bell Telephone Company in Morristown for 36 years before retiring in 1992. He was a former member of Our Lady Of The Lake R C Church in Mt. Arlington, and also loved boating on Lake Hopatcong, fishing, gardening, and vacationing on L.B.I
He was predeceased by his wife Suzanne E (Gallagher) Hanusocky (of 42 years) in 2006.He is survived by his 4 daughters; Denise L (and Gary) Schumann of Green Twp, Michelle L Hanusocky of Green Twp, Andrea L (and Leonard) Chetti of Ewing, and Christine A (and Patrick) Farrell of Mansfield, 9 Grandchildren; Stephen, Brittany, Sean, Ryan, Allyson, Nicholas, Derek, Kevin, and Jack.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Monday from 4-7 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday, 10 am, at the Good Shepherd R C Church in Andover, with the interment to follow at the Church Cemetery.
