Roxbury Township, Mr. Joseph McCabe, 89, died on December 31, 2023 at the Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna. He was born in New York City and lived in the Bronx before moving to Landing 55 years ago. He served in the U S Air Force during the Korean War. He later retired as a Printer & Lithographer at Amiel Book Publishing company in Secaucus.

He is survived by his wife Mary V (Murphy) McCabe of 63 years, and by his 4 children; Colleen Mary (and Michael) Pugliesi of Stroudsburg, PA, Peggy Jean (and Lawrence) Marron of Hackettstown, Susan Catherine (and Kevin) Magnotta of Hackettstown, and Thomas J (and Karlene) McCabe of San Diego, CA. He also leaves his 11 grandchildren; Christopher, Kevin, Eric, Brian, Katie, Tim, Kelly,  Danielle, Kevin, Sean, and Erin and 4 great grandchildren; Leander, Gwyneth, Callie, and Jack. He also leaves his sister Patricia (and Raymond) Maher of Port Jefferson, NY. He was predeceased by his brother Michael McCabe in 1969.
