Byram Township, Mr. Harold Charles Garrison, 83, died on October 3, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was a devoted husband and loving Grandpa who will be greatly missed. Harold was born and raised in Irvington and lived in Byram Township for the last 50 years. He served in the U S Navy during the Korean War and was a retired Mechanical Engineer Technician from Picatinny Arsenal having nearly 40 years of service. He was a member of the Cranberry Lake Volunteer Fire Department since 1966 and held various officer positions during his tenure. Harold was also a member of the American Legion Post in Stanhope and the VFW in Netcong.

Harold was predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Elsie, and his oldest son Charles. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy M (McLachlan) Garrison and their 3 children: Karen and husband Ken Matthews of NJ; Clifford and wife Rebecca Garrison of TX; and, Barbara and husband Jim Menagh of NJ. Harold enjoyed the company of 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, 12 noon at the Andover Fire House.
