Frank Marotta, Sr

Mt Arlington, Frank V Marotta Sr., 91, died on April 12, 2015 at the Mt Arlington Senior Living Center. He was born in Yonkers, NY and lived in Closter, NJ, and Williamsburg, VA. before moving to Mt Arlington over twenty years ago. He served in the US Navy during WW II, he was an international freight forwarder, and Vice President at Goode, Durrant & Murray, Inc., in Manhattan. He was a member of St Matthews R C church in Randolph. While living in Closter, NJ he was a founding member of St. Mary’s R C church, and honorary member of the Queen of Peace Council of the Knights of Columbus. 

 He was predeceased by his wife Violetta Marotta in 1992, and is survived by his son, Frank and wife Paula Marotta of Williamsburg, VA and his daughter, Marian and husband Scott Donnelly of Randolph. His grandchildren are Scott Donnelly of Enfield, NH, Elizabeth Marotta of Charlottesville, VA, Pamela Kendrick of Spokane, WA., and Melanie Marotta of Beaverton, OR. He has two great grandchildren; Mari and Veer Donnelly.

 Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, 10 am at St. Matthews R C Church, 335 Dover Chester Rd, Randolph, with the Interment to follow at the Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, NY.
