Newton, NJ   Mrs. Elfrieda E Tygar, 86, died on October 10, 2014 at the Barn Hill Care Center in Newton. She was born and raised in Dover and lived in Succasunna for 40 years before moving to Rockaway and Newton. She was a retired secretary for the Roxbury Township Board of Education in Succasunna for many years. She was also a volunteer administrator for the Succasunna Girl Scouts and loved being at the casino, crocheting, and especially being with her grandchildren.

 She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert G Tygar in 1997 and is survived by her 3 children; Robert Tygar of Budd Lake, Karen (and Chris) McIntyre of Great Meadows, and Nancy (and Gordon) Little of Venice, FL, and by her 3 grandsons and a granddaughter.

 Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Tuesday from 3 – 5 & 7 – 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 10 am at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
