Roxbury Township, Mrs. Dorothea Florence Baylor, 94, passed away on July 31, 2023 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover.  Born & raised in Dover, she moved to Succasunna 75 years ago when she married her beloved husband, Lester. Dot was a retired clerical worker for the Traveler’s Insurance Company in Morris Plains and a devoted member of the New Hope Community Church in Denville. She lived to serve others and volunteered at St Clare’s Hospital, as well as Hospice, several churches & nursing homes throughout her life.  In addition to her passion for volunteering, she loved spending time in worship at her church & always enjoyed time with family & friends.  She was dearly loved by everyone who knew her.

Dot was predeceased by her husband Lester Baylor, Jr & daughter Bonnie Caskey in 2014 & her grandson Gary Caskey in 2007 and is survived by her son Gary Baylor of Great Meadows, son in law Lou Caskey of Port Morris, grandchildren, Eric Caskey of Succasunna, Tricia (and Kevin) Richards of PA and by her brother Daniel (and Filomena) Kanouse of FL. & many nieces, nephews & (adopted) grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264     (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday from 3 – 6 pm. The Funeral Service will then be held on Saturday, 10 am at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in (Millbrook) Randolph, NJ.
