Roxbury Township, Mr. Donald Joseph Adanuncio, 85, died on June 3, 2023 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved from Hopatcong to Succasunna 48 years ago. He was a retired heavy equipment trainer at the NJ Department of Transportation in Netcong where he worked for many years. He served in the U S Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Mine Mill American Legion Post 391, member of the Local 195 IFPTE AFL-CIO Union, a member of the St. Therese Church and of their Knights of Columbus, and was an Exempt member of the Roxbury Fire Company #1. He was also an artist who loved to paint and draw, he loved fishing, archery, biking and exercising but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Clare Adanuncio (of 40 years) in 2015, and is survived by his daughter Donna Marie Parks and David Fryer of Westfield, and James and Lou Adanuncio of Westchester, NY. He also leaves his 5 grandchildren; Jaime, Madelyn, Nicholas, Sophia, and Zoe, and his beloved friend Barbara Bednarz of Ledgewood.

The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, followed by the Interment with Military Honors at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery
