Montague, NJ. Mr. David B Tucker, 71, died on August 15, 2022 at the Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Jacksonville, FL to Franklin and Betty Tucker,and grew up in Caldwell, NJ, before moving to Montague many years ago. He served in the U S ARMY from 1970 – 1976. He worked in the Circulation Department of the Marywood University Librarian Scranton, PA and previously worked for the Selective Insurance Company in Branchville, NJ in the IT Department for 30 years. He was a member of the Carmelites.
David had many interests which included exploring the back roads of Sussex County, perusing used book stores (he always said it was the thrill of the hunt), getting together with friends and enjoying a good meal. Through the years he shared his home with numerous dogs, cats and birds. He also gave freely to many charities that helped animals, the environment and mankind.
David was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, friend with his own special kind of humor. He will be greatly missed.
He was predeceased by his father, Franklin Tucker, and is survived by his mother Betty Tucker of NC, and 2 sisters; Susan Tucker of Mt. Arlington, NJ and Robin Kirwan of NC. He also leaves his niece Kelsey Kirwan of NC, nephew Brendan (and Hannah), and 2 great nieces Eleanor and Amelia of NC.
The family is having a private service.
