Roxbury Township, Mr. Clifford Francis Reed, 90, Died on March 19, 2013, at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. He was born in Dover and lived in Kenvil all of his life. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient and a member of the Kenvil VFW Post #2833. For many years he was a dynamite specialist at the Hercules Powder Company in Kenvil and following his retirement he worked as a custodian at the County College of Morris. He was a founding member and former Deacon at the Hope Baptist Church in Flanders. He was responsible for creating the Memorial Tribute Plaque at Horseshoe Lake, for all who perished at the Hercules Powder Company.
He is survived by his wife Charlene M. (Harris) Reed of 65 years, 2 children Thomas A. Reed of West Palm Beach, Florida, and JoAnn Reed Clauson, of Hackettstown, 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Charlene Reed, and James Clauson Jr, Jenelle, and Joshua Clauson, 4 great children Michael and Luke Reed and Alexander and Shyanne Reed, and his brother Billy Reed, of Beach Haven.
