Annamary Elizabeth Mulhall Janowski

Annamary Elizabeth Mulhall Janowski, 85, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at Abington Manor in Easton, PA.  Annamary was born October 27, 1936 to the late John and Anna (Sinnott) Mulhall in Newark, NJ.  A devout Roman Catholic, she grew up in the Ironbound section of Newark and attended St. Aloysius Grammar School before graduating from St. James High School. She worked as a secretary before becoming a full-time homemaker.

Annamary and the late Donald Janowski were married November 24, 1956.  They raised their daughters in Succasunna, NJ where Annamary was a member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church and in the Rosary Society.  She was involved in her daughters’ schools, bowled in a league, played in a bridge club, and enjoyed countless days at Horseshoe Lake.

After Don’s retirement, they moved to Dingman’s Ferry and then to Newfoundland, PA.  They enjoyed traveling- first camping with their family throughout the US, and then later visiting Ireland and Poland, and cruising to Alaska.  Annamary continued being active in her church (St. Anthony of Padua in Newfoundland and then St. Thomas More in Lake Ariel, PA) and community, volunteered at the library and served as president of the Newfoundland Women’s Club.  After Don passed away (May 29, 2011), Annamary remained in Newfoundland until moving to Easton, PA in 2018.

In addition to her parents and husband, Annamary was preceded in death by her siblings – Jack Mulhall, Tom Mulhall, and Rosemarie Mulhall Aikens- and great-grandson David Sheffield.

Left to cherish her memory are her “four darling daughters” – Anne (Don) Sheffield of High Point, NC, Lynn Todd of Hackettstown, NJ, Debra (Don) Rodriguez of Stanhope, NJ, and Elaine (Ken) Watts of Port Murray, NJ; her “favorite grandchildren” – Elizabeth and Zack (Naomi) Sheffield, Gary, Ryan (Jennifer), and Matt (Candace) Todd, Donald, Rebecca, and Dan (Rachel) Rodriguez, and Justin, Julia, and Emily Watts; and her “precious great-grandchildren”- Bryan and Archibald Todd, Liam and Callum Todd, and Jacob, Savanna, and Dakota Rodriguez.

Friends and relatives may visit at the Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Friday (February 11th) from 6-8 pm.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Therese Church, 151 Main St., Succasunna, NJ on Saturday at 11 am.  The family will be at the church thirty minutes before the Mass.
