Jefferson: Ann P Gentile, 87 of the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson Township, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024. She was born and raised in Morristown NJ, she was a graduate of Bayley-Ellard High School. She lived in Succasunna for 25 years before moving to Lake Hopatcong 25 years ago. She attended St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna.
She was the daughter of the late James and Kathleen Hegarty. She was predeceased by her husband (of 64 years) Richard Gentile, Sr. in 2022, and is survived by her children; Richard Gentile, Jr., James Gentile (and his wife Lucy) and Patricia Johnson (and her husband William), eight Grandchildren, and five Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers James and wife Kathleen Hegarty and John and wife Kathleen Hegarty.
She was a retired Tax Assessor, co-owner of Pave King Inc. and Kings Highway Industrial Complex in Roxbury Township. She loved to exercise and was involved in various groups and clubs. During the winter months she resided in Haines City Fl. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and boating on Lake Hopatcong.
Friends may visit at Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com), on Tuesday, March 26h, from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, March 27th at 10 am, at St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, followed by the internment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover
