Roxbury Township, Mrs. Rose Sracic Lazorisak, 86, passed away on July 9, 2015 at home with her children by her side. She was born and raised in St. Michael, PA and lived in East Orange with her husband Alex before moving to Succasunna 57 years ago.
Rose worked in the Accounting department for Bell Telephone in the Harrisburg, PA and Paramus, NJ offices during the 1950’s. She was the administrator of her husband Alex’s private law practice for over 25 years.
Rose dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was known for her infectious laugh which inevitably made everyone in her company laugh along with her. Rose was extremely proud of her Croatian heritage often preparing her family’s favorite ethnic foods for holidays and special occasions.
She was involved in numerous activities at St. Therese School including serving as room mother for several years and as secretary of the Church’s Alter Rosary Society. Rose was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow Award for her contribution to the Roxbury Township Rotary Club.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Alex of 61 years on June 6th 2015, her parents Kazimir and Mary (nee Mihacevich) Sracic, brothers John, Matthew and Zvonimir, and her and her husband’s faithful companion Nasha.
She is survived by her loving children, daughters Tressa (and James) Gladysz and Alesia Lee Lazorisak, son Alex J (and Susan) Lazorisak, grandsons James Alex Gladysz and Matthew James Gladysz, brothers Stephen and Albert (wife Elizabeth), sister Mary Perich, her caregiver Line Mabiala, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday from 2pm – 5pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, 1pm at St. Therese R C Church, Main St, Succasunna, NJ, with the entombment to follow at the Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to one of the following: Lymphoma Research Foundation or the Lung Cancer Research Foundation through Davis and Hepplewhite Funeral Home.
