Mt. Olive Township, Rosann Margaret Rasmussen passed away on December 25, 2016 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28th, from 5 – 7 pm at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street Succasunna, NJ with a service to follow at 7 pm. Interment will be at Hammond Cemetery in Hammond, WI
Rosann was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Thomas Fletcher Willoughby, Jr. and Ethel Willoughby. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she met and married her husband, Clayton Rasmussen in June 1961, with a degree in Home Economics Journalism. After graduation, she worked at Swift and Company for four years before giving it up to start a family and following her husband to graduate school.
Rosann was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Victoria Vanderwal and Kathleen Durian. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years and by her children Laura Rasmussen, Allentown, PA, Diane (Vince) Belcher Brandon, FL and Karen (Eric) Balda, Cincinnati, OH and grandchildren Christopher and Nicole Zumberge, Lilyann and Leo Belcher, and Megan and Nathan Balda and a brother Thomas Willoughby III.
Rosann did a lot of volunteer work and was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Succasunna until her illness. Donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation themmrf.org.
