Hopatcong, Mr. Robert Michael Novak, known affectionately as “Doody”,74, died on July 21, 2013 at home. He was born and raised in New York City and lived in Elmhurst, Queens before moving to Hopatcong 42 years ago. He was a retired Iron Worker in Union Local 40, NYC and worked on many of the New York Bridges, Madison Square Garden, and the World Trade Center. He attended St. Jude’s R C Church in Hopatcong and Our Lady of the Lake R C Church in Mt. Arlington.

He is survived by his wife Rosalie (Tanzillo) of 50 years, 3 children; Michael (and Mary) Novak of Blairstown, Laura (and Michael) Leddy of Palm Bay, FL and Jennifer (and John) Mensch of Long Island, 8 grandchildren; Alaina, Christopher, Kelsey, Gregory, Thomas, Rebecca, Julia, and Jacob, brother William of CA, and dear family friends; Barbara Domanico, Scott VanNess and Jackie & Frankie Andriani.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Wednesday from 11 am – 2 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 1 pm.
