Mt. Arlington, Mr. Richard Russell Fraser, 84, died on February 14, 2016 at his home. He was born in Monticello, NY and grew up in Ferndale, NY. He lived in Kenmore, NY before moving to Mt. Arlington 50 years ago. He served in the U S Navy as a pilot during the Korean War and later became a Commercial Pilot for Eastern Airlines for 23 years before retiring in 1989 . He was a faithful member of the Ironia Free Methodist Church, and attended the weekly Airline Pilots Breakfast Club at the Rockaway diner.
He is survived by his wife Sylvia (Morey) Fraser of 60 years, 3 children; Cheryl Moormann of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Bruce Fraser of Fairfield, NJ, and Kyra Curtis of Succasunna, NJ. He also leaves his brother Jack Fraser of Spencerport, NY, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 27 at 11:00am at the Ironia Free Methodist Church on Dover-Chester Rd in Randolph. Arrangements are by the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com)
