Roxbury Township- Mary Louise Cordileone, 79, died on April 5, 2024 at St Clare’s Hospital in Dover. Dover. She was born and raised in Orange, NJ She attended Marywood University where she received a liberal arts degree in Education and a teaching certificate. She was a primary teacher in Wharton for 35 years (1968 – 2003) before retiring in 2003. Marylou lived in Denville with her husband and children before moving to Roxbury Township in 1975. She was also the co-owner of Accents On Dance in Roxbury Township. She was a member of St. Therese R C Church in Succasunna, the N J E A, the Wharton Teachers Association and the Warren Book Club.
She is survived by her husband Louis Cordileone of 53 years, her son Mike (and Jennifer) Cordileone of Roxbury Township, and daughter Lisa Pomroy of Roxbury Township. She also leaves her 4 grandchildren; Matthew Cordileone, Joshua Pomroy, Samantha Cordileone, Isabella Pomroy, all of Roxbury Township, and her sister Lois DeCarlo of Nicholson, PA. She was predeceased by her father and mother, James (1974) and Madeline DeCarlo(1994) and her brother James DeCarlo (1995). She also leaves behind nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Family and friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ 973-584-7264 (davishepplewhitefh.com), on Tuesday, April 9th from 4 to 7 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, April 10th at 10 am, St. Therese Church in Succasunna, followed by interment at the Succasunna Presbyterian Cemetery.
