Roxbury Township, Mrs. Lois Elizabeth Berwanger, 89, died on March 26, 2019 at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover. She was born in Kenvil at home and was a lifelong resident of Roxbury Township. She was last surviving of the 9 children, of George and Catherine Cole. Her lifelong hobby was documenting the history of Roxbury Township and her family genealogy.

She was predeceased by her husband Robert Berwanger, Sr. in 1988, and by her daughter Eva Bush in 2013. She is survived by her 3 children; Catherine (and Robert) Meeker of East Stroudsburg, PA, Robert Berwanger, Jr. of MD, and John (and Anne) Berwanger of Denville, and by her 7 grandchildren; Cathy Anne Saltis, Stephanie Alsobrooks, Sarah Berwanger, Elizabeth Bush, George Bush, Ryan Keller, and Timothy Keller, and 4 great grandchildren; Lilianya, Lucian, Quinn, and Lennon.

Friends may visit at the Davis & Hepplewhite Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Succasunna, NJ  973-584-7264  (davishepplewhitefh.com) on Sunday, from  2 – 5 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, 10 am, at the Funeral Home with the interment to follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
