Mt. Arlington, Mr. Layne Gerald Morris, 68, died on June 6, 2017 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville. He was born in Orange, NJ and lived in Lake Rogerene for 26 years. He was a sewer plant operator in Morristown for many years, and served on the Mt. Arlington Sewer Committee and Morristown Planning Board. He also worked for the F. M. Kirby Foundation in Morristown for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife Deborah (Tracey) Morris of 36 years, his 4 children; Corie (and Max) Diaz of East Hanover, Jesse (and Jennifer) Morris of Succasunna, Magee (and Tim) McEnteer of Randolph, and Mackenzie (and Chris) Irving of Succasunna. He also leaves his brother Benjamin Morris and sister Sharon Bardes, 6 grandsons; Ethan, Cooper, Lincoln, Cruz, Jackson, and Bennett.
